MMFF Ranking 2014 Latest Update: ‘English Only Please’ Now Part Of Top 4 Box Office Hits

The Metro Manila Film Festival has earned over P800 million mark, with the romantic comedy English Only Please replacing Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles 2 in the top 4 of the in terms of total earnings.

Metro Manila Development Authority chairman Francis Tolentino revealed in a text message that as of January 4, the MMFF has reached a total of P854 million for all 8 films, Rappler reported.

The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin 2, Feng Shui 2, and My Big Bossing are the leading movies at the moment.

English Only Please, starring Derek Ramsay and Jennylyn Mercado, bagged numerous awards at the Metro Manila Film Festival Awards Night, ranked second in Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Director. (READ: FULL LIST: Winners, MMFF 2014 awards night)

Last December 26, Tolentino said that all 8 films earned at least P182 million in the first days of the festival.

The festival will end on January 7.
