Paris Terror Attack: 2nd Hostage Situation Reported in France, 2 Reported Dead

A man who has taken at least five people hostage in a kosher market on the eastern edges of Paris Friday appears connected to the massacre earlier this week that left 12 people dead.

A police official, who was not authorized to speak about the situation, told The Associated Press that the man opened fire Friday in the kosher market, near Paris’ Porte de Vincennes, and declared “you know who I am.”

Paris police believe the suspect is Amedy Coulibaly, 32. Police are seeking information on him and his girlfriend, Hayat Boumeddienne, 26, in connection with the deadly shooting of a police officer on Thursday morning just south of the capital in Montrouge, CBS reported.

Authorities feared all four suspects, who may know one another, are bent on going out as martyrs, and potentially killing hostages and police officers in the process.
