LOOK: British Singer-Songwriter Ed Sheeran Arrives In Manila

British singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran has just arrived in Manila.

Sheeran arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Wednesday afternoon for his sold-out concert at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Sheeran arrived at around 4PM in a Cathay Pacific flight from Hong Kong and was greeted by a throng of overeager fans at the airport’s arrival area.

The 24-year-old, whose album “X” won the Brit Award for British Album of the Year, landed in Manila at around 4:45 p.m. onboard a Cathay Pacific flight, according to ABS-CBN News’ Raoul Esperas.

The ticket prices for Sheeran’s one-night only “Multiply” concert on Thursday range from P1,050(general admission) to P8,450 (VIP).

Sheeran started his recording career in 2005 and rose to fame in 2011 when his debut studio album “+” topped charts in the UK and other territories. Among the hits from the album were “The A Team,” You Need Me, I Don’t Need You,” and “The Lego House.”

In 2014, Sheeran released his second studio album “x” to worldwide acclaim.

Aside from the already mentioned win, it was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album and Album of the Year at the 57th Grammy Awards. It includes hits such as “Sing,” “Don’t,” “and “Thinking Out Loud.”
