Human Remains Found In Suitcase Left On San Francisco Sidewalk

San Francisco police on Wednesday discovered human body parts stuffed inside a suitcase that had been ditched on the sidewalk of a downtown street, officials said.

Police closed off blocks around the package around 4:15 p.m. and found more remains after searching the area, police spokeswoman Grace Gatpandan said in a statement.

Police spokeswoman Grace Gatpandan said San Francisco police then found a mysterious roll away suitcase next to a pile of garbage at the corner of 11th and Market Streets.

The city medical examiner confirmed that the remains were in fact human, but could not determine whether they belonged to a single person or multiple victims.

Officers later found other gruesome body parts in an undisclosed area.

San Francisco police released a statement saying that they have identified a suspect and are looking for surveillance videos from nearby businesses.
