GMA Network’s Alden Richards will be playing Jose Rizal in his latest project, Ilustrado, portraying a different kind of challenge to the young actor - playing our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal.
“Siyempre happy, kasi of course, hindi naman biro mag-portray ng isang role of a national hero. Binigay sa akin itong Ilustrado without me knowing na ako ‘yung mag-play ng Rizal.”
“Blessed ako and thankful sa GMA News and Public Affairs for giving me the chance, kahit walang audition. Excited ako for this project and I’ve never been so hands-on in any of my projects, ngayon lang for Ilustrado. Kung nag-e-effort ako before sa soaps ko, doble effort for this.” He also added in a media interview.
