Good news for Beer and music lovers. San Miguel Brewery Inc. holds this year’s Oktoberfest featuring a never-before-seen mash up of legendary rock bands, club DJs, mainstream bands and up and coming university bands.
Expect lights and sounds show, beer pyramid and global artists featured in the past, this year’s edition will feature a beer shower, giant inflatable display, virtual sports game booths, and non-stop music performances.
The 12-hour non-stop music and beer packed revelry will be held in Greenfield District Central Park in Mandaluyong on September 12 with simultaneous runs in One Mango Avenue, Cebu City and Laguna Central Greenfield City in Sta. Rosa, Laguna on September 19.
Declared as an official Philippine tourism event, SMB’s Oktoberfest has always been known to provide only the best entertainment to delight its customers.
This year’s line-up of performers cover a broad spectrum of musical genres that would surely cut across all target markets with Red Horse Beer’s brand evangelists Ely Buendia and Pepe Smith, Slapshock, Greyhoundz, and Razorback giving the usual kick together with 6Cyclemind and Rivermaya.
The country’s top DJs Mars Miranda, Ace Ramos, and Deuce Manila will pump more dose of adrenalin to keep the party going with top university bands, including 2013 Muziklaban’s grand winner Manila Under Fire and this year’s Party All-Night DJ finalists. Young crowd drawers Yolanda Moon, Techy Romantics, Taken by Cars, Flying Ipis, and Banda ni Kleggy will have their debut in the country’s grandest Oktoberfest celebration. The versatile Replay Band will also perform to give partyphiles their retro fix.
Oktoberfest-themed pocket events in selected barangays across the country will also be held to make the event really a nationwide tradition of giving delight to SMB patrons.
Virtual sports games to be featured include Basketball, Archery, Pool, Billiards, Frisbeer, Giant Darts, Soccer, Giant Connect 4, and Giant Jenga booths for additional fun and thrill.
Tickets are priced at P300 (with five cups of assorted beers) in the Manila kick-off, while P50 (with one cup of Pale Pilsen) in regional runs.
