Singer Adele’s new album which was expected to hit stores this year unfortunately might not be released until 2015.
XL Recordings confirmed that there were no plans to drop an album from the singer in 2014 according to media source.
“Buried alongside the news that XL — whose other acts include Vampire Weekend and the xx — made $15 million in net profit on almost $61 million in revenue in 2013, was the following sentence: “There will not be a further new release by Adele during 2014 and consequently there will be a fall in XL’s turnover and profits.”
Which also means Adele’s cryptic tweet from earlier this year (on her 26th birthday) was just a ruse.
The album follows Adele’s 2011 release 21, which has sold over 30 million copies worldwide.
It was also reported that Adele earns £80,000 a day, despite not releasing an album for four years.
