Paul Soriano just recently watched “You’re My Boss” to show his support for fiancée Toni Gonzaga. Admittedly the director revealed that what he loved the most about the film was Coco Martin’s performance.
According to media interview, Soriano said he was amazed by Martin’s transformation from a heavy drama to a comedy actor.
“I saw it. I personally enjoyed it. It’s one of those light, feel-good [movies]. You don’t have to think. You can enjoy. I know si Toni magaling ‘yan sa comedy. Pero si Coco, natawa talaga ako. I see him sa mga serious films niya, sa ‘Serbis,’ sa Cannes, tapos all of a sudden naging comedy. Ang galing niya,” he said.
Soriano said he also loved Gonzaga and Martin’s chemistry even if “You’re My Boss” is only their project together.
“I think teamwork ‘yan. Toni fed off Coco and Coco fed off Toni. That’s what makes them great actors. They know how to balance their chemistry. I actually want to see them in another movie together,” he said.
Soriano said he was able to relate to Martin’s character. “Ang galing niya. I can relate kasi my Tagalog is like his English sa movie,” he said laughing.
