Alisah Bonaobra, who was a finalist during the second season of “The Voice of the Philippines,” wowed all four judges with her rendition of Beyonce’s “Listen” during her audition round of the reality singing competition X Factor UK.
Her performance left the judges in awe especially Nicole Scherzinger, who also gave her a standing ovation.
“I am crying because I come from very humble beginnings as well. You’re just gorgeous. You’re this tiny little thing with a voice given from God. This unbelievable gift blowing everybody away. I connect with you and everybody. It’s a yes for you and all the Filipinos out there,” Scherzinger said.
Meanwhile, Simon Cowell said, “This is not the best version of this song I’ve ever heard but there’s something about you that I really like. You have a great energy.”
“I think she’s adorable. You are a great singer. You are a great person. It was a great audition but there’s something about you that we really like. I am absolutely saying yes,” said Louis Walsh.
“I just want to cry. Oh it’s a yes for me,” Sharon Osbourne added.
Bonaobra joined “The Voice of the Philippines” two years ago where she was mentored by Black Eyed Peas’ apl.de.ap. She was the runner-up to Team Sarah’s Jason Dy She joins fellow Filipino contestants Gaga Lord, male group JBK, and Elysa V in the next round of the competition.
