First-time national team player Terrence Romeo impressed Fil-Am Los Angeles Lakers guard Jordan Clarkson during the Gilas Pilipinas game against Chinese-Taipei A in the William Jones Cup.
Philippines opened its campaign with a victory over host Chinese-Taipei Blue, 77-69, on Sunday (August 30) and Romeo played a crucial role in the national team’s first win.
With his impressive ball handling skills, Romeo introduced himself in Asian basketball with his killer crossover moves and daredevil drives. He scored a total of 18 points including a layup against Chinese Taipei’s naturalized player Quincy Davis, eluding his defenders with series of insane crossovers.
Gilas Pilipinas will try to record another win in the tournament when they face South Korea on Monday at 5 p.m.
