A teenage dancer from the province of Laguna bagged the first prize during the “PINASikat” weekly finals after getting a perfect 10 on “It’s Showtime” which aired Saturday.
Marlou M. or Marlou Mangeron impressed both the studio audience as well as the judges of the noontime show with a form of dance called isolation which refers to a jazz and hip-hop dance step that involves the movement of a single body part as opposed to the whole body.
One of the judges, Gino Padilla was impressed and stated:
“Magaling, magaling, magaling. ‘Yun lang ang masasabi ko sa iyo. Ibang klase talaga. ‘Yung pagka-isolation dancer mo, talagang namangha ako”
“First time I’ve seen someone do that. Sana malayo pa ang marating mo. Para sa akin ibang klase ka.
Mangeron will advance to the monthly finals along with a dance group named Wushu Discovery, which also got a perfect 10 for their performance.
