WATCH: OPM Classic Hit ‘Anak’ in Lee Min Ho’ Gangnam 1970 Trailer

MANILA – Freddie Aguilar’s OPM classic “Anak” has been making rounds online as it was used in the trailer of Korean superstar Lee Min Ho’s upcoming movie.

Gangnam 1970,” which was earlier titled “Gangnam Blues,” finally released its trailer on YouTube last week.

We heard this classic hit over and over again, and this time it’s from an unlikely source. “Anak” was recently used in Gangnam Blues‘ new trailer, a Korean noir film starring K-pop superstar Lee Min Ho. The film is set in the 70′s before Gangnam became a business district and a luxury shopping area and how political powers and darker organizations battled to gain control of the developing district.

It feels ultimately great to hear that a classic hit “Anak” is included in a foreign movie though we’re not sure how Freddie Aguilar’s “Anak” contributes to the story. So I think we have something to look forward to.
