Team Adam: Mia Pfirrman (“Human” by Christina Perri) defeats Alessandra Castronova (“Next to Me” by Emeli Sande) |
Mia hit QUITE a few big ole’ glory notes on “Human,” but despite guest star mentor Taylor Swift’s push for more vulnerability. Mia Pfirrman makes her play for Adam’s playoff team with a performance of Christina Perri’s “Human.” We have listened to her piece multiple times to see where there were any pitch issues on the lower register. We didn’t hear any. I think this girl hasn’t matured yet as a singer but will be interesting to see where she will go. The lower register is different, a uniqueness there if you can hold some of those and work in a vibrato especially. Wonder what falsetto sounds like.
As Adam Levine watches closely, Alessandra Castronovo gives her best to Emeli Sande’s “Next to Me.” I feel like this show let go of a top contender. I would have certainly picked for her if she made it to the live shows. She had such raw talent and unique tone. Oh well, you don’t even have to come close to winning the show to be recognized for the talent she’s shown. I hope someone picks her up.
Alessandra sang beautifully and with control through out her whole range. We don’t want to disrespect Mia so we will leave it at that.
The winner of the knockouts is Mia Pfirrman. Alessandra Castronovo is eliminated.
