[WATCH] McDonald’s Reveals How They Make McRib Sandwiches

Former “MythBusters” host Grant Imahara joins a McDonald’s skeptic, high school teacher Wes Bellamy to find out what exactly goes inside a McRib patty in their latest promotional campaign which aims to reveal the truth about what’s in McDonald’s food.

In the video, Kevin Nanke, Vice President of Lopez Foods ( one of McDonald’s U.S. pork suppliers) explained that “the only thing in a McRib patty is pork, water, salt, dextrose — which is a type of sugar — and preservatives which are BHA, propyl gallate and citric acid which as used to lock in the flavor.”

The meat patties are then shipped to McDonald’s and prepared for the masses.
