To avoid confusion, Wenn Deramas, the director of the upcoming horror movie “Maria, Leonora, Teresa” has no intention of giving the reputation of the famous doll, which superstar Nora Aunor received from Tirso Cruz III back in the ’70’s.
The director also explained that it has nothing to do with the doll of the same name as it shows a trio of ominous-looking ones out to kill their respective owners.
Hindi ko po binalak na pasamain ‘yung napakaminahal na manika nila Ate Guy at Pip noong ’70s.
Deramas, who is known for comedy hit films such as “Sisterakas” and “Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy,” also encouraged his fans to try something new.
He reassured fans that they will not leave the theater disappointed as he always puts his best foot forward whatever the project may be.
“Maria, Leonora, Teresa,” which stars Iza Calzado, Zanjoe Marudo, and Jodi Sta. Maria, is set to hits theaters on September 17.
