The video you’re about to see was not part of the recent scandal in the Philippine Entertainment industry but the NCAA controversy started when The Mapua Cardinals and the Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) Generals engaged in a free-for-all with just 28.5 seconds to go in their NCAA Season 90 men’s basketball game Monday at the Arena in San Juan.
EAC was leading 86-77, when John Tayongtong bumped into Mapua’s CJ Isit at halfcourt.
Mapua’s Hesed Gabo responded by pushing Tayongtong, and the agitation escalated when Tayongtong threw a punch that sent Isit to the floor.
The amazing game turned out into chaos as players from both teams spilled into the court, with the referees, bouncers, and coaches trying to stop the fight causing havoc inside the court.
It was later announced that NCAA Commissioner Bai Cristobal had decided to call off the game, awarding EAC the 86-77 victory.
The rest of the players and members of the coaching staff were all thrown out of the playing court.
