Apple released a new ad for fourth-generation Apple TV, featuring NBA superstar Kobe Bryant and actor Michael B. Jordan, best known for roles in movies like Creed and Fruitvale Station.
The commercial follows the basketball superstar and the actor as they operate the Apple TV using voice commands via Siri. The 60-second TV spot, which was released on YouTube on Sunday morning, features the Jordan prepping to play Bryant in a fictional biopic. Bryant shows a video of his early career to Jordan using the new Apple TV and wants Jordan to play him as a “cold-blooded assassin” on the basketball court. Jordan has a different idea for the role, however, and reveals a plan to portray him as a star “locked in a battle with Father Time” poking fun at the retiring Bryant, who will play for Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday against Utah Jazz for the very last time.
This is the tenth ad for the new Apple TV since the product launched in late October last year.
