WATCH: Julie Anne San Jose Turns Emotional as her Debut Album Turns Diamond

Home-grown GMA artist Julie Anne San Jose who started as one of the Pops Star Kids finalists is now in the league with Eraserheads, Jose Marie Chan and Nina whose albums have become diamond after getting 10 times platinum sales.

Julie Anne turned emotional during the awarding on GMA’s Sunday All Stars last December 7 as she thanked everyone who supported her self-titled debut album released in August 2012 under GMA Records. This is a big accomplishment especially in the era of iTunes and pirated CD’s.

Julie Anne’s self-titled debut album produced four hit songs — I’ll Be There, Enough, Bakit Ngayon and For Everything. ‘Enough’ won as the Best R&B song in the 26th Awit Awards while the music video of ‘I’ll Be There’ won as the Favorite Mellow Video in the 2013 MYX Music Awards. It also topped the iTunes Philippines chart shortly after it was released.

Her follow up album Deeper has already reached platinum, in time for her first major concert before the end of the year.

Julie Anne is set to conquer the SM Mall of Asia Arena on December 13 as she stages her first major concert, “Julie Anne San Jose, The Hologram Concert”.

She will be joined by Christian Bautista, Frencheska Farr, Abra, Sam Concepcion, and Jonalyn Viray, plus other surprise guests.
