Kapuso power belter and award-winning theater actress Aicelle Santos celebrated her birthday with a solo concert “Class A” on February 25 at the Philippine Educational Theatre Association (PETA).
Aicelle rose to fame when she became the first runner up in the second season of GMA Network’s Pinoy Pop Superstar in 2005. Since then, she was able to showcase her prowess as a singer through tours, gigs and concerts. She became part of GMA 7’s defunct Sunday variety shows SOP and Party Pilipinas and now with Sunday All Stars.
Aicelle, who is known as the “First Undefeated Pinoy Pop Superstar” for achieving eight-straight wins in GMA 7’s Pinoy Pop Superstar, displayed her vocal powers on her first birthday concert as she belted out a medley of ‘A Song For You’ and ‘All The Man That I Need’.
She entered the world of musical theater in 2013 and won as Best Actress at the 2014 Aliw Awards against veteran actresses in the industry for her performance at “Rak of Aegis” which she considers one of her biggest breaks along with “Katy! the Musical.”
Aicelle gave her audience a taste of musical flavor as she performed ‘Part of Your World’ and ‘Reflection’ in her concert.
Aicelle was joined by special guests in her concert including Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Kyla, Gian Magdangal and Celeste Legaspi.
She is currently promoting her brand new single, “Kapangyarihan ng Pag-Ibig” – a digital release available now on iTunes, Spotify, and distributed under Ivory Music, which was done in collaboration with music producer Jungee Marcelo.
