Veteran star Vivian Velez made her announcement “immediate irrevocable resignation” from Kapamilya Network’s soap opera through her Facebook post on Sunday.
“With much trepidation,” she posted, “I would like to tender my immediate irrevocable resignation, effective immediately, from the show, ‘Tubig at Langis’. I have never been so upset and humiliated by an actress in my entire career spanning four decades!”
Although Vivian did not name the actress in her Facebook post but identified her as Cristine Reyes in an interview with pep.ph Cristine is one of the lead stars of the afternoon show, which started airing on ABS-CBN on February 1, along with Zanjoe Marudo and Isabelle Daza.
In an interview with showbiz news site Pep.ph, Vivian admitted that the actress she was pertaining to in her post was indeed Cristine.
She said in the interview: “The straw that broke the camel’s back was when we shared a designated standby room and she asked me to leave the room because she wants it only for her own.”
“She bangs the doors, shouted at me. She keeps on singing ‘Goodbye, Farewell’ in front of my face while we are rehearsing.”
Vivian said it was “the rudest thing anyone had ever done” to her.
Vivian said Cristine had been acting rude and hostile towards her “for a month now” but she snapped last week after “we shared a designated standby room and she asked me to leave the room because she [wanted] it only for her own.”
“Grabe siya. Bastos,” Vivian told inquirer.net.
