A car loaded with a number of explosives was discovered at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport- Terminal 3 (NAIA 3) on Monday.
According to initial investigation, The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) General Manager Jose Angel Honrado, a Toyota Revo model was discovered at the parking lot B of NAIA 3 had explosives at around 1:45 a.m.
Four suspects were arrested by elements of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) during simultaneous operations in Makati and the vicinity of SM Mall of Asia.
Airport sources said the suspects were apprehended while they were assembling the explosives inside the vehicle parked at the NAIA 3 open parking lot.
In December 2013, Labangan Mayor Ukol Talumpa had just arrived at Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport when a gunman suddenly opened fire. Talumpa, his wife, a child and another man were killed in the gunfire.
