The Voice 2014 Top 10 Performance, Damien Sings “You and I”

The Voice 2014 Top 10 Performance, Damien Sings “You and I”

Damien puts his heart and soul into Stevie Wonder’s “You and I.”

Damien has an old school kind of Stevie/Luther sound to his voice and personally I kind of love that. Because I hear most R&B today and I go, “No, that’s not real, reach down into your soul, melt your heart, give you goosebumps meaningful r&b.”

So I love what Damien does at times. At the same time, in a competition like this, when it’s so many people of different genres, different voices, many of them showing at least a slightly different side to themselves week after week, yeah I can see people getting tired of it.

I might be interested in buying his album. Objectively, I don’t know that I can say he’s a favorite unless we start to see and hear something a little different.
