An 18-year old Texas man confessed he killed his mother with a hammer and raping her corpse.
Kevin Davis pleaded guilty Monday to first-degree murder, just as his trial started.
Prosecutors played a videotaped confession Tuesday to jurors, who heard the 18-year-old confess he tried to strangle Kimberly Hill using a power cord from a video game console on March 27, but when she did not stop screaming, he struck his mother’s head multiple times with a hammer.
He confessed to officers how he initially attempted to kill his mother with the electric cord from a games console, the Corpus Christi Caller reports.
But when his attempt failed, he took a hammer before striking his mother around 20 times.
Asked what happened next, Davis said: “I had sexual intercourse. Guess I lost my virginity to a dead corpse.”
After the murder, Davis stayed at his home with the intention of killing his sister when she returned home.
Davis revealed that he had long fantasized about killing his mother and sister, and he waited a while for his sister to return home before deciding to move away and leave his family’s Corpus Christi apartment.
“I had my fill of killing,” he said. “It seemed a little much.”
Davis also shared to detectives during the videotaped interview that Kimberly Hill was “the best mother” and didn’t deserve to die, and police asked him if he regretted killing her.
“In a way, yes, but I wouldn’t take back what I did,” he said. “I did love her in a way. I’m a terrible, disgusting person.”
