SEA GAMES 2015: Philippines Ranks 6th Place With 21 GoldsThe Philippines ranked 6th place in the medal tally of the Southeast Asian Games with nine golds coming in from boxing, softball, athletics, and billiards on Wednesday.

So far Philippines now has 21 gold, 23 silver, and 36 bronze medals, passing Indonesia in the standings and just five gold medals behind fourth-ranked Malaysia.

Singapore consistently dominated in the ranking, followed by Vietnam and Thailand.

Filipino boxers poured five gold medals brought to you buy Josie Gabuco, Mario Fernandez, Eumir Felix Marcial, Ian Clark Bautista, and Junel Cantancio.

The men’s and women’s softball team also won twin first place finishes, turning back Indonesia and Thailand, respectively, in the grand finals of their tournaments.
