The Communication Foundation for Asia is releasing a commemorative comic book edition of the life and teachings of Pope Francis.

Titled “A Pope Named Francis: A Pope for the Poor… A Man of Mercy and Compassion”, CFA aims to inspire young Pinoys to be like Pope Francis and present him “as a model on how to transform Catholic social teachings in action.

The 36-page Pope Francis Illustrated Komiks that will come out in English and Filipino versions, contains different stories in Philippine setting with quotes from Pope Francis on the following themes:

  • On a Call for the youth
    – On Life & Dignity
    – On the Call to Family, Community & Participation
    – On Solidarity
    – On Dignity of Work
    – On Rights and Responsibilities
    – On Option for the Poor and Vulnerable
    – On Care for God’s Creation

Pope Francis is due to visit the Philippines January 15 to 19.
