Pope Francis Breaks Protocol On His Way Out Of Manila Cathedral

After the mass at the Manila Cathedral, Pope Francis waved, faced the people and went out on the side door of the Cathedral and walked along Gen. Luna Street in Intramuros.

All the bishops, priests and the religious who went in front of the Church’s entrance as well members of the press ran toward its side door in hopes of catching up with the Pope.

According to Inquirer, Pope Francis is known for breaking protocols and traditions to be closer to the people.

The Mass at the Manila Cathedral is the first he has conducted a day after his arrival in the country.
From Manila Cathedral, Pope Francis is set to return to the Papal Nunciature before going to Mall of Asia Arena to meet with families.
