Philippine Volleyball Federation Announces RP Volleyball Team Line Up

The Philippine Volleyball Federation (PVF) announced the lineups for the women’s and men’s national volleyball teams that will be sent to compete abroad in international volleyball competitions on Friday, October 17.

Supported by PLDT Home Fibr, the women’s team will be coached by UAAP champion and DLSU Lady Spikers head coach Ramil de Jesus while the men’s team will be under UST head coach Odjie Mamon.

UAAP Season 76 MVP Alyssa Valdez leads the 18 rosters members for the women’s team along with teammate Ateneo Lady Eagles Dennise Lazaro and Lady Spikers Ara Galang, Mika Reyes and Kim Fajardo.

UAAP Season 76 men’s volleyball MVP Marck Espejo of Ateneo Blue Spikers leads the men’s national pool along with Peter Torres and Ranran Abdilla who also played for the national team in the 2014 Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship.

The national team are are set to compete in the Singapore SEA Games, marking the country’s return to the volleyball tournament since it last competed in the sportsfest a decade ago in the 2005 Philippine Games.

Aside from SEA Games, the PVF is also forming the national women’s side that will vie in the inaugural Asian Under-23 Women’s Volleyball Championships to be hosted by the PVF in May next year.
