Palawan voters are taking part in a plebiscite on Saturday to determine whether or not the province of Palawan will be divided into three new provinces – Palawan del Norte, Palawan del Sur, and Palawan Oriental or remain as a single province.
On March 13, Palaweños will vote yes or no to the province’s division through a plebiscite. The plebiscite is required under Republic Act No. 11259 that President Rodrigo Duterte signed on April 5, 2019.
