The family of RJ Ledesma is calling for immediate action, including suspension of the trips First North Luzon Transit, pending investigation of the incident.
Members of the family of Rene and Fortune Ledesma, honorary consuls of Bulgaria and Monaco, were injured when their van was rammed by a First North Luzon Transit bus along the North Luzon Expressway near Apalit, Pampanga last Sunday.
The couple, together with their son, daughter-in-law, granddaughter, a driver, and a nanny, were on their way back to Manila from a family vacation in Baguio City when the accident happened, ABS-CBN reported.
According to RJ Ledesma, the van his family was riding slowed down to a stop as the vehicles in front of them were stationary.

“Join me on calling for the immediate suspension of 1st North Luzon Bus, whose reckless driver almost killed my family.”
Ledesma said, no one from First North Luzon Transit, a subsidiary of Victory Liner, was immediately available to provide assistance to their family.
He also said no one from the company helped his family after the accident. They were only able to talk to the company’s representative the following day.

They also call for retraining of the company’s drivers, checking on the quality of buses, the company’s processes/services in handling the victims of their accidents, and the structure of their settlement claims.
