MANILA, Philippines—An Instagram post by TV actress Nathalie Hart received the ire of netizens for saying that “inevitable” rape should be enjoyed.
Hart posted a quote in her Instagram account last Sunday saying “If rape is inevitable, lay back and enjoy it.”
She credited the said quote to her father, whom she referred to as her “best [adviser].”
“According to my dads lesson: If rape is inevitable, lay back and enjoy it! #ihavethebestadvicer #mydadisthebesthaha,” the caption read.
According to media report, Hart deleted the said Instagram post. That, however, did not stop people from bashing the actress as a screen grab of her Instagram post continues to circulate on the internet.
DJ Mo Twister (Mohan Gumatay in real life) said that he had to unfollow the actress because of what she posted.
“Okay doll, looks like I have to unfollow you [email protected],” said Gumatay.
Hart has also apologized and stated it was a “bad joke.”
Responding to Twitter user UNITED VOICES AGAINST RAPE (@UVAR_global), she tweeted: I do not promote nor support that behavior! I’m against domestic violence and rape! It was a bad joke and I’m extremely sorry.
The actress used to be a GMA 7 artist and a finalist in the reality talent show Starstruck in 2008 when she was still known by the name Princess Snell.
She was also linked to Filipino boxing champion Manny Pacquiao in 2011.
Hart made an appearance in the movies “Somebody to Love” and “Dilim.” She will appear in the upcoming movie “Flight 666” episode of the 2014 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry Shake, Rattle, and Roll XV.
