Missing person case solved: veteran’s car remains found at the bottom of Lake

A retired air force veteran, Amos Shook, had gone missing in 1972.

The report of his disappearance was filed on February 18th 1972 and the case remained unsolved.

The case was reopened when the daughter of the veteran called the police and asked them to look into the case again.

Using a diving and sonar team, they located a 1968 Pontiac Catalina 30 feet below the surface of the lake. It was later identified to belong to Amos Sok.

Though many questions remain unsolved, the case is considered closed as policed do not believe it was a suicide or that there was any foul play involved in his death.
