The face-off between Vice President Jejomar C. Binay and Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV has been set on November 27, according to Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP).
KBP Chairman Ruperto Nicdao Jr. said both camps of Binay and Trillanes agreed on Nov. 27 as the date of the debate. Both camps also agreed on the schedule, as well as the venue and guidelines of the debate, which have yet to be announced.
“The date agreed by both parties is Nov. 27,” Nicdao said in a text message.
In a recent media report, Trillanes had earlier set the date for their debate for November 22, even saying that beyond that date he would reject his previous commitment to hold the debate with Binay. But Binay’s camp rejected his Nov. 22 deadline, branding it as Trillanes’ bullying tactic.
