The “pope jeep” may soon be seen on the streets of Vatican City in Rome, Italy.
According to ABS-CBN News, Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle said Pope Francis liked the jeepney-inspired popemobile, that symbolizes Filipino’s simplicity.

“I explained to him that here in the Philippines, the jeepney is the most common way of commute and it is the one used by ordinary people, simple people. And he said he liked it. We might send it to him to Rome as a gift of the people,” Tagle said in a press conference on Sunday.

Pope Francis used the pope jeep during the motorcade on his way to Luneta Park for the concluding Sunday Mass.
Before and after the Mass, Pope Francis made his rounds onboard the popemobile in each of the quadrants of the Quirino Grandstand to greet the millions who stood in the rain to receive his blessing.
The all-white pope jeep is one of three popemobiles used by the Pope for his five-day visit to the Philippines.
