The sudden heavy rains and thunderstorm on Monday afternoon flooded several parts of Metro Manila.
In its official Twitter account, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said gutter-high floods were recorded at the EDSA-Aurora Boulevard Tunnel, on both the northbound and southbound directions at 3:28 p.m. The area remained passable.
Floodwaters that reached the level of half a tire were also seen at the intersection of Ortigas Avenue and Santolan Road at 3:36 p.m., which left only two lanes passable to all types of vehicles.
Flood in the area, however, subsided before 4 p.m., and all lanes are now passable, it said.
