Tony and Olivier Award winning singer and actress Lea Salonga and “The Voice of the Philippines” coach Lea Salonga took to social media site Twitter her anger at an audience member of the ABS-CBN program for supposedly spoiling the results of the upcoming leg of the competition.
Salonga cursed at someone who has allegedly been posting online the results including the names of the winners of the Battle Rounds, which was taped weeks in advance and will only start airing on Saturday.
Referring to the spoilers, Salonga said, unedited: “I am angry. Very, very, very angry. I am proposing that we no longer have audiences invited from outside ABS-CBN because of one a******… Thanks a lot, ********, for ruining the experience for everyone else. You no good piece of ****.”
I’d like to believe the Universe rights the wrongs that man commits. But as time wears on, my faith wears out.
The official pages of “The Voice of the Philippines” also warned against posting spoilers, saying anyone who leaks results of the competition “will be blocked/banned from our Twitter account and Facebook page.”
Despite leaks of the results, Salonga said she is confident that “The Voice of the Philippines” will maintain it’s strong viewership.
I’ve calmed down, and thought it through… perhaps we have leaks because The Voice of the Philippines is such a massive hit show. So…
…never mind that there are jerks that want to spoil things for the TV audience (**** *** pa rin sa kanya though).
Co-hosted by Toni Gonzaga and Luis Manzano with Alex Gonzaga and Robi Domingo as V-Reporters, “The Voice of the Philippines” airs Saturdays at 8:45 p.m. and on Sundays at 8:30 p.m.
