After several eerie propaganda videos, Lionsgate has finally released the first full length trailer of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay—Part 1.
“I never wanted any of this,” Katniss tells President Snow (Donald Sutherland) in the beginning of the clip. “I never wanted to be in the Games. I just wanted to save my sister and keep Peeta alive.”
But Katniss has no choice. She has become the official symbol of a mass rebellion against the Capitol.
The trailer shows Jennifer Lawrence, dressed all in black, at the forefront of the rebellion in District 13 with the help of Liam Hemsworth (Gale Hawthorne) while Peeta and Johanna are held captive in the Capitol.
The worldwide phenomenon of The Hunger Games continues to set the world on fire with The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, which finds Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) in District 13 after she literally shatters the games forever. Under the leadership of President Coin (Julianne Moore) and the advice of her trusted friends, Katniss spreads her wings as she fights to save Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and a nation moved by her courage.
Joining Lawrence in the cast are Woody Harrelson, Julianne Moore, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Elizabeth Banks, Natalie Dormer, Sam Claflin, and Donald Sutherland.
Directed by Francis Lawrence and based on Suzanne Collins’ young adult novels, The Hunger Games Mockingjay—Part 1 hits theaters Nov. 21.
