Forced Evacuation as Marikina River Reaches Critical Levels #MarioPH

Due to heavy rains, Marikina river has reached its critical level prompting forced evacuation among residents near the river, local media reported on  Friday morning.

Heavy rains struck Marikina City, and the rest of Metro Manila and Luzon suffering moderate to heavy rains and thunderstorms due to the combined effects of Typhoon Mario (Fung-Wong) and the Southwest Monsoon.

At least 8 areas are already under storm Signal No. 2.

As of 12 nn, PAGASA already issued a red rainfall alert over Rizal, Bulacan, Metro Manila and Laguna, Cavite, and Batangas. PAGASA warned of severe flooding in these areas.
