‘Your Love’ Singer Gary Ignacio of Alamid Dies At 49

Gary Ignacio, the former vocalist of 90’s rock band Alamid, passed away on Friday. He was 49 years old.

The announcement was made by photographer Benjie Cruz on Facebook, saying Ignacio died at 2:50 p.m. at the National Kidney and Transplant Institute due to multiple organ failure.

In behalf of the Ignacio Family, we would like to announce that our brother. Gary “Alamid” Ignacio, former frontman of the band, Alamid, passed away today at exactly 2.50pm at NKTI ICU 5 due to multiple organ failure.

The wake will be at Sto Rosario Village Chapel, Brgy Baritan Malabon City

Ignacio, who was behind the hit singles “Your Love,” “China Eyes,” “Sama-Sama,” “I Just Wasn’t Brave Enough,” and inspirational song “Hesus,” was feautured in “Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho” February this year, where he revealed his health condition.

Aside from Ignacio, Alamid was composed of Dexter Facelo on guitars, Gene Mitra on keyboards, Thalie Facelo on bass, and Jex Herradura on drums.
