Tom Cruise accepted the ice bucket challenge to raise awareness of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). And Cruise being Cruise, he has taken it without hesitation.
The Top Gun star sat as eight buckets of icy water were poured over his head after being challenged to take part by Hugh Jackman.
Oh yes he did it his way!
The 52-year-old Mission Impossible actor was joined for his video by his MI5 director Christopher McQuarrie. The dare came from Hugh Jackman and the cast of Pan and did the challenge on behalf of the whole cast and crew as the film hasn’t started production yet.
The #icebucketchallenge campaign has so far raised $22.9m (£13.8m) for the ALS Association, a US charity committed to raising awareness of the disease. It seems to have begun when Pete Frates, a former Boston College baseball player who has ALS, posted a video on Facebook challenging professional baseball players to take the challenge of dumping a bucket full of ice water over their heads according to media report.
