WATCH: Terrence Romeo’s Step-back Three in 2015 FIBA Asia Championship

Gilas Pilipinas finally took down the defending champion Iran, scoring an 87-73 upset against the defending champion on Monday in the FIBA Asia Championship at CSWC Dayun in Changsha, China.

Jayson Castro led the national team with 26 points followed by Andray Blatche, who played against Iran for the first time, scoring 18 points while Terrence Romeo caught fire in the third period, scoring 12 of his 15 points.

FIBA’s official YouTube channel featured Romeo’s step-back three which was a crucial shot that gives the Gilas lead versus Iran during the third quarter of the game.

Gilas Pilipinas just needs to win the game against India on Tuesday to formally clinch the No.1 spot in Group E.
