WATCH: ‘Suicide Squad’ Trailer Officially Released After Comic-Con Leak

After a lousy quality version recorded during the studio’s Hall H presentation at Comic Con leaked online, Warner Bros has officially released the high quality trailer for the upcoming movie, Suicide Squad.

In a statement issued by Sue Kroll, President Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution of Warner Bros. Pictures, posted on the movie’s Facebook page, it says:

Warner Bros. Pictures and our anti-piracy team have worked tirelessly over the last 48 hours to contain the Suicide Squad footage that was pirated from Hall H on Saturday. We have been unable to achieve that goal. Today we will release the same footage that has been illegally circulating on the web, in the form it was created and high quality with which it was intended to be enjoyed. We regret this decision as it was our intention to keep the footage as a unique experience for the Comic Con crowd, but we cannot continue to allow the film to be represented by the poor quality of the pirated footage stolen from our presentation.”

The 3-minute trailer was tracked to a cover of the Bee Gees hit ‘I Started A Joke’ featuring familiar faces Enchantress (Cara Delevingne), El Diablo (Jay Hernandez), Deadshot (Will Smith), Killer Croc (Adele Akinnuoye-Agbaje), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) and Joker (Jared Leto).

Directed by David Ayer, “Suicide Squad” opens Aug. 3, 2016 in the Philippines
