Pinay girl group 4th Impact continue to impress with their performance during the second live show of “The X Factor UK” on Saturday.
The Filipino four-piece performed a mash-up of Charlie XCX’s Boom Clap and Girls Aloud’s Sound of the Underground with the theme reinventing classic songs and they received mixed reviews from the judges.
Nick Grimshaw: “I disagree, I thought that worked. When you were talking in the VT, I was like Cheryl is crazy to put those two songs together, but it really worked – it was really cool. Usually before it looks like your concentrating, but tonight it looked like you were having fun”.
Rita Ora: “Every single judge in here is literally coming… What I loved the most is your identity has morphed into your own even though you’re sisters. It sounded great”.
Cheryl FV: “This was a collaborative effort and I absolutely loved it – it was fantastic”.
Simon Cowell: “It was fantastic. I think I would have chosen Boom Clap as it would have been a better song. Apart from that, I thought it was a bit narcissistic to choose your own song for the girls. I thought you looked better than last week, vocals great, harmonies great. You are a band who I know rehearse like crazy and are ready for the real world”.
