After a leaked copy hit online Wednesday, the first official trailer for Marvel Studios’ The Avengers: Age of Ultron is finally here.
The two-minute video shows the full team in action and includes a look at the Hulkbuster armor and Ultron voiced by James Spader.
Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” stars Robert Downey Jr., who returns as Iron Man, along with Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk. Together with Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, and with the additional support of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill.
For better or worse…Tony Stark has devised a plan that won’t require him to put on the Iron Man suit anymore, and should allowCaptain America, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and the Hulk to get some much needed R&R as well. His solution is Ultron, self-aware, self-teaching, artificial intelligence designed to help assess threats, and direct Stark’s Iron Legion of drones to battle evildoers instead.
The only problem? Ultron lacks the human touch, and his superior intellect quickly determines that life on Earth would go a lot smoother if he just got rid of Public Enemy No. 1: Human beings.
Marvel also unveiled a teaser poster for the film.
Directed by Joss Whedon, “Avengers: Age of Ultron” opens in theaters on May 1, 2015.
