After impressing the jurors last week for his impressive impersonation of Pinoy rock icon Pepe Smith, JayR showed his versatility once again as he flawlessly impersonated Stevie Wonder.
During Saturday’s episode of the variety show, the 34-year-old R&B King performed the Grammy-winning American’s hit, “I Just Called to Say I Love You.”
His performance received positive comments from all three judges Sharon Cuneta, Jed Madela and Gary Valenciano.
“It was another flawless performance for me. Nato-touch ako kasi you and Melai, so far, you put in all the effort, the work and parang inaral nila talaga. I didn’t know you were so versatile.” – Sharon Cuneta
“I must say that this is the second week in a row that you will get two thumbs up from me.” – Gary Valenciano
“You really made us believe that we were watching Stevie Wonder.” – Jed Madela
Last week, JayR received the highest number of points to win the show’s pilot episode where he took home P100,000, half of which he gives to his chosen charity.
And although it was Karla Estrada who won this week with her impersonation of Chaka Khan, JayR remains to be the top contender getting the second highest point on the second week.
