Teen superstar Daniel Padilla saw for the first time a viral image depicting him inside a casket, with onscreen partner and rumored girlfriend Kathryn Bernardo made to appear at his side.
Heartthrob Daniel Padilla simply shrugged off a viral photo showing him inside a coffin.
The edited image, with the text “RIP,” made the rounds online early this week.
“Okay iyon, parang Undertaker lang ako nu’n,” he said of the photo, which was supposedly also captioned “RIP.”
Padilla was shown the post on Friday, during a sit-down interview with ABS-CBN News’ Gretchen Fullido on the sidelines of his pictorial for “Pangako Sa ‘Yo,” the network’s remake of the pioneering teleserye co-starring Bernardo.
When shown the image during an interview with ABS-CBN, he added, “Parang totoo, ang galing ng gumawa. Okay lang.”
Such are the hassles of popularity, and the inherent troubles and dangers of our increasingly connected world.
While Daniel was no idea about it, some fans couldn’t hide their disgust.
To this Daniel quipped, “Hindi natin masisisi ’yung mga supporters (mag-react).”
He added, “Kumbaga sa basketball, kapag ’yung idol mo tinitira ng kaibigan mo makikipag-away ka eh. Ganoon naman talaga.”
The “Pangako Sa’yo” star said he already advised some of his followers to simply ignore the matter. “Pero hindi mo naman mapipigilan. Tsaka andoon sila na nagpro-protekta. Siyempre kapag ’yung idol mo nilagay sa kabaong, medyo hassle iyon,” he said.
Daniel values the love and support of his fans, noting how he would do the same for them.
“’Yung mga supporters hindi natin sila pwede sisihin. Buhay na din nila ito eh. Wala tayong magagawa. Okay din na protektahan nila ako, protektahan ko din sila,” he said.
As to his Instagram account, which he said was hacked by some individuals he knows personally, Daniel shared, “’Yung account, aayusin natin, pero doon sa tao, okay na iyon.”
Noting how the @seriousblack_ account is already his second, Daniel said, “Hassle ng gumawa, parang ayaw ko na nga pero try ko muna ayusin.”
