Filipino-American teenager Nathan Hermida impressed The Voice judges as he took to the stage on NBC’s “The Voice” during the Knockout Rounds to sing Sam Smith’s “Lose Your Lover.”
The 17-year-old artist was up against Clinton Washington, who sang Hunter Hayes’ “Wanted.”
Both Hermida and Washington are part of Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine’s team.
In the end, Levine saying “I gotta go with my heart,” picked Hermida to go through to the live shows.
During the Blind Auditions, Hermida received a standing ovation from Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera with his rendition of Miguel’s ‘Sure Thing’.
