Unang araw pa nga lang ng MMFF ay maugong na ang kontrobersya di umano sa pag papalit ng ticket sa mga sinehan nationwide.
Fans of the MMFF entry “My Bebe Love,” which features Vic Sotto, Ai-ai delas Alas and the love team of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza, took to social media their confusion after finding out that the tickets they bought were swapped to a different movie.
According to news report, there were fans who lined up to watch “My Bebe Love” and were given tickets to a different movie were true.
“My Bebe Love” director Joey Javier Reyes confirmed that there have been incidents of ticket swapping during the film’s premiere on Friday.
“Got word from producer:IT IS TRUE. Make sure that the title of the movie on YOUR ticket is what you want to watch.Beware of ticket swapping.”
“BEWARE OF TICKET-SWAPPING. Look at the title of the movie on your tickets. REPORT anomalies or take IG pictures and POST in social media.”
The Metro Manila Development Authority, which oversees the MMFF, has not yet released the official box office figures for the film festival’s first day.
The eight entries for the 41st MMFF are: My Bebe Love, Beauty and the Bestie, All You Need is Pag-ibig, Haunted Mansion, Buy Now, Die Later, Walang Forever, Honor Thy Father, and Nilalang.
