It’s now down to five singers and three coaches on The Voice.
Former contestant Christina Grimmie opened up the show and then the first finalist announced to be moving on in the competition was Matt McAndrew from Team Adam.
Christina Grimmie Performs “With Love”
Result: Matt McAndrew from Team Adam is safe!
McAndrew was the first announced as being saved tonight and viewers love him. There’s definitely a good chance he will be number one at the end of this competition.
Result: Damien from Team Adam is safe!
Damien was the second performer to be announced as safe, not to mention, the second member of Team Adam Levine revealed. This passionate and emotional guy puts his soul into his music and that’s what the audience loves about him.
Result: Taylor John Williams from Team Gwen is safe!
The third safe contestant on the show was Taylor John Williams. He looked surprised, though viewers were not shocked at all.
As soon as Boyd was announced as safe, he took to social media site Twitter to thank fans, and the show for saving him this week.
Result: Craig Wayne Boyd from Team Blake is safe!
Blake seems so happy.
Result: Chris Jamison from Team Adam is safe!
Chris is the last one to perform before the Instant Save. He absolutely kills it at the end.
Chris Jamison brought some sex to the stage this week with his performance of “Sexual Healing” by Marvin Gaye. He was in the bottom four and had to sing for his life. Fortunately, America’s votes totaled over 50% for Jamison and he beat out Luke Wade, Ryan Sill, and DaNica Shirey for the Top 5.
Ryan Sill Performs “Heaven”
Ryan gives a beautiful performance of “Heaven.” Gwen says that he keeps getting saved because he’s so good. His voice is just so effortless. I agree. He gave an amazing performance.
DaNica, Luke and Ryan are eliminated, and Matt, Damien, Taylor, Craig and Chris are advancing on to the semifinals.
