After the conclusion of the Blind Auditions last week, Team Lea is all set to start the battle round in its upcoming episodes of The Voice Kids Philippines this weekend.
The 18 young singers, divided into six groups of three members, will battle against each other to trim down Team Lea’s artists to six. The first three groups will perform in the June 28 episode of “The Voice Kids,” with the rest taking the stage in the telecast on June 29.
Marianne Interino, Karla Cruz, and Darlene Vibares will battle it out for a slot in Team Lea. Marianne turned two chairs with “Luha” in the Blind Auditions. Eight-year old Karla sang “Titanium.” Darlene got all three coaches to turn with her rendition of “Girl On Fire”.
Eufritz Santos and Koko Luy, will be competing with Camille Santos. With her rendition of “Hanggang Ngayon” in the Blind Auditions, Eufritz got all three coaches to turn. Koko and Camille, who sang “Forget You” and “Maybe,” respectively, both managed to turn two chairs.
Angelique Trinidad and Jimboy Garcia will be pitted against Rein Pineda. Both Angelique and Rein turned two chairs with their performances of “Maghintay Ka Lamang” and “Kulasisi,” respectively. Jimboy, meanwhile, wowed all three coaches with “Faithfully.”
Kobe Viray, Lorenzo Cinco, and Shanne Dandan will be competing against each other in The Battles. For the Blind Auditions, Kobe sang “For Once In My Life,” Lorenzo performed “What Makes You Beautiful,” while Shanne gave sang “Tadhana.”
Echo Claridad will face off against Genmarie Guiao and Tonton Cabiles, Jr. Tonton sang “Dance With My Father” in the Blind Auditions. Genmarie sang her rendition of “Greatest Love of All” while Echo impressed the judges with his version of “Too Much Heaven”
“The Voice Kids,” hosted by Luis Manzano and Alex Gonzaga, airs Saturdays at 6:45 p.m. and on Sundays at 7:30 p.m.
