Team Bamboo’s Patricia Gomez vs. Kai Honasan on The Voice #FinalBattlesPH

Hoping to advance to the next round, Patricia Gomez battles Kai Honasan on The Voice of the Philippines sing “Somewhere over the rainbow”.

After each battle, the coach who mentored the singers onstage will choose one person to move forward and one to be eliminated. Losing contestants per battle have the option of being “stolen” by another coach, thus staying in the competition.

With all due respect, part of being a good vocalist is being able to vary existing pieces of music to create a good performance. Style is rarely “built into” a song or a piece of music. It’s all about the instrumentation; the performance. Imagine how much changing the tempo, for instance, would affect the performance.I think it’s great — and really, really pleasant — when someone sings a song they can truly connect with and the emotions flow very naturally. However, it is hard to sustain putting out more music if one can’t perform songs that may not be quite as personal.
It is at this performance that I started to fall in love and be intrigued by Patricia Gomez and Kai Honasan. It’s like they have voice from the past, I don’t know how to explain it.
Coach Bamboo chose Kai Honasan! Congratulations, Kai. But wait Coach Apl stole her from Coach Bamboo. Congratulations, Patricia Gomez. Welcome to Team Apl.
